I am looking forward to EA’s Godfather 2. As in, when it hits the $29.99 bins. The first game was good. I still need to finish it. Anyway, EA has put out one of their infamous style over substance trailers for the game. It’s a decent watch, even if it gives you no reason to think the game will be good.
According to this article, dad did this because the kids were getting a bit out of hand while playing XBox. There are numerous problems with the entire situation:
What kind of father lets his children have an original XBox? This is America, get a credit card and buy a 360, deadbeat.
Instead of taking it out on the innocent, outdated hardware, why not beat or at least yell at your kids?
The kids have now learned to crucify their problems…I hope that nails and hammer are not within reach when they experience their first heartbreak.
Upon further investigation, looks like this occurred in the town of Mechanicsville, VA, which kind of explains everything…except why the kids weren’t beaten.
Some awesome person over at Sega of America decided to post pictures on their official blog of their game archive. What’s in the archive? Just every game ever released on a Sega System. Oh, and tons of systems, controllers, peripherals, and anything else SOA ever sold.
Although the only Sega system I ever liked was Dreamcast and I find retro gaming to be increasingly boring, this is still pretty drool-worthy. Check the link!
All Points Bulletin (APB), from the developer of the sleeper hit Crackdown, is an “…original MMOG for PC…a city based community game where players choose between playing the criminals or those out to catch the criminals; carry out or thwart opposed crimes and build up areas of the city you control, all with unprecedented levels of character and vehicle customisation.“
All you have to do is go to their Realtime Worlds site and sign up. There is no indication that this gets you into the Beta, but you can at least tell them you want to be included. If you never had the pleasure of playing Crackdown, rest assured that it is easily the best GTA clone and that this developer is capable of a solid game.
Some lame brain at M$ has decided that 1200 is the new 800. This is probably because they are so rich that they can travel to other parts of the world where their currency is not yet being printed on funny money and their economies are not melting under the stress of a mortgage crisis and they need more M$ points to pay for their trip.
Or, too many XBLA lemmings paid 1200 for Braid last week.
Anyway, Castle Crashers is also going to be 1200 points. Can someone explain to me why I should pay 1200 for this one? Do people still play XBLA games? The Geo Wars 2 leaderboards haven’t been nearly as active as I anticipated.
BTW, don’t forget that Target has 1600 point cards on sale this week for $15!
This video actually made my back tense up. It’s a strange mix of pleasure and pain watching videos of some of the hardest games I’ve ever played. Watch the video and see what you think. I would agree with everything but the PS2 entries. Who gives a crap about those? Did anyone hear beat any of these games? I remember complete disgust with some of them.
Second, according to the developer, Too Human is set to clock in around 15 hours. This is a good length as it leaves some time for sex with your life partner. Of course, to get all the cool stuff you’ll have to beat the game 3 or 4 times, or invest a less sex-friendly 40 to 50 hours.
So, if the game lasts about 15 hours, how many hours until it hits the bargain bins? 720?
According to the ‘cheevements, Viva Pinata 2 is set to feature 4-player online co-op. Will it be awesome or terribly frustrating? You only have a month’s wait to find out. It drops 9/9. Now, I know Slitt and Canis will be playing it, but who else? Gramps seems like a likely suspect.
