Activision/Red Octane are already releasing DLC for Guitar Hero 3. First up is 3 song packs from the Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver.

The good:

• The Foo Fighters rocked up until like 2001 or so
• Themed or artist packs are much better than 3 random songs because you don’t get stuck paying for a stinker
• These are new songs not available in previous releases

The bad:

• Velvet Revolver never rocked
• $6 is still a little bit on the high side for 3 musics
• DLC a week after the game is released? Give us a chance, man!

You make the call — if you pay for them, you are asking for more. If you don’t you are telling them to lower the price. It will be interesting to see where Rock Band’s DLC pricing falls - especially with whole albums up for download.
