Okay, so the levels sounded good on my computer, not so good in my car this afternoon. Vocals were too quiet relative to the music, and the beeps during the outtakes were way too loud. I just uploaded another version that should have better levels.

Woo hoo! I won Puzzle Fighter. :)

I do, as noted, already have it. I'm pretty sure Duster called dibs a podcast or two back if i ended up winning that prize. Am i correct?

FWIW, i was thinking about the stupid ass Cortana level in Halo 3 as well as other levels. Oddly enough, i am still stuck on that level.

Good calls on recommending the Dead Weather. Great album. I do also want to know what album Slitt is listening to that he started to mention then said "nevermind."

I noticed the levels thing on my way to banjo practice last night in the car. The music seemed hella loud compared to the soft dulcet tones of the voices.

Alright.

Two of the positive things Slitt mentioned were Elements the Game and Pandemic.

Anyone notice anything about these two items? Yeah, both were recommended by me. No props to the miyu given. :glare:

Also, some minor corrections: Pandemic is playable with anywhere from 1-5 players (a solo player just plays a couple roles). Also, from all accounts the expansion isn't out yet. I have had it on order all summer and it is listed as being released sometime in September (bumped back from August). When it arrives i will have my board game club give it a spin and let you guys know how it plays out and how it changes the game.

In Pandemic, it seemed like a 5-player game would be the most difficult as it seems like it would make discovering cures quite difficult. Is that the case? I am sorry for anyone that is playing Pandemic alone.

I played it 2 player, 3 player, and 4 player. Adding a player made it successively easier so i imagine 5 wouldn't be that bad. The difficulty in more players is the absolute need to work together and everyone has to do their role. We also were playing the easier variation of the game... i think only 4 or 5 epidemic cards were shuffled in.

As for playing Pandemic alone. I could see breaking it out just like you would break out a deck of cards for solitaire. I also tend to play most games by myself the first time so i can learn the rules and explain them easily when i introduce it to people.

Yeah, that was my bad. It sounds surprisingly different heard through laptop speakers, headphones, and car speakers. It sounded fine on the laptop, but with headphones or in the car, it sounded way off. This was a good reminder for me of the need to check levels using headphones.

If anyone downloaded the show before last night but hasn't listened to it yet, you may want to delete and redownload to get the latest version of the MP3 file. Anyone who downloaded since last night should get the better version.
