Just wanted to update my views on the new games I am playing: Red Faction Guerrilla is my top game... and like Gramps; it may be my game of the year as well.:thumbsup:
Also, I know there was a request for some cowbell, but I guess this one was so good, that no cowbell was needed. :D

Good job in the 4th chair Music! I didn't recognize any of the beers Music was drinking - Laguinitas and Bells i can get around here but i haven't seen the others.
Canis is just outright wrong in his dislike for Jack Black.
I will say that the various reviews and discussions of Ghostbusters make it sound like a not very fascinating game. My interest is definitely !piqued.
The Magic discussion was good although Slitt said there are a dozen or so decks. There are 8.
Like Duster, i was trapped in the Houston airport for about 4 hours as well. I did play some portable games but mostly on my iTouch. I did play a little of a word search game and some Chessmaster on my DS but that was about it. Honestly, the iTouch is spoiling me on portable gaming and it is tough to get into DS games anymore due to the graphics.

Speaking of anticipated games for this fall...
Aliens vs Predator is looking really good.
It and Beatles Rock Band are my most anticipated titles right now.

I was wondering when you'd finish and make comments. Your name was thrown out a number of times during that recording. ;)

Yeah, i had previously stopped with 24 minutes left in the podcast. This morning when the Wild Flower was out playing i finished it up.
I do think a few of the sections on the podcast get pretty slow. The beer section and FML sections in particular. The beer section seems slow because for the most part you guys are all in one area and many of the beers discussed aren't available on the coasts or whatnot. It just seems the least interesting part of the podcast.
The FML section just goes on a little too long. That and i at least, read the site every day so there is nothing mentioned that is new.
The movie section is decent because i like hearing what people think about the various films. The music section is my favorite non-gaming portion because i like hearing about new artists that might pique my interest.
edit: I meant to mention that the gaming section is by far the most interesting to me. What have you been playing to give impressions of current and old titles, looking forward to gives some opinions of upcoming items, discussing of gaming news etc. I like video game podcasts so this is the main part to which i look forward to listening.

I think that FML is done.

I think the Ep 7 discussion thread, for those invovled in the recording of the show has no FML section.. The Jagon watch section is a little funny as well, but overall, kind of boring in that it usually comes from Urban dictionary.
I'd be all for skipping those and perhaps the beer discussion to focus more on movies, music and analog gaming.. I need to spearhead that and get it into the shows. There are so many great analog games.

To be honest, i need to quit whining and guest at some point to discuss some analog games.
I think another strength for the BB would be to discuss some Community Games. I listen to several big video game podcasts and nobody at all covers CGs. Something like that might even be able to net interviews with smaller developers and such.
And i reiterate: :glare: Slitt :glare:

I don't really pay attention to the community games because there really haven't been any big ones that seemed to be really well done. If you care to suggest some, I'll play them and discuss on our next show..Or, you would be welcome to guest host at some point as well.

I actually do have one Community Game to discuss for Episode 7. It's called Clover, and if you like old-school point and click adventure games, it's worth looking into. It's really rough around the edges, but it's a good mix of platforming and puzzle solving.
We also did cover Math Sniper 3D or whatever it was called on an earlier episode.

I actually tried the demo after that was recorded. It was completely terrible.

Lucky for you Jill didn't hear the archaeologist blooper. But because of this comment, she will demand to hear it.

Duster's description of Iron and Wine sounded pretty intriguing. Do you think it would be something i would like Duster?

 Somehow I figured you were already a fan. My guess is that Iron and Wine is definitely up your alley. All the hippies I know like them. ;)

I had heard the band mentioned before but i was always under they impression they were an indie rock thing like Promise Ring (which is not normally my thing). Hearing him say it was just a guy and an acoustic guitar made it way more appealing to me.
Hopefully Amazon or Lala has something by him on sale soon in their mp3 store. I would like to hear his stuff.

I owe Iron and Wine an apology. I got their new CD with doing no research. Turns out the first disc is all home demos. So, I look like an ass.

I listened to a bit of the new Iron and Wine CD. It's not bad, but I couldn't sit through the whole album at once. After about 3 or 4 songs, I had to switch to something else.
