This took me over an hour, so it would be nice if people read it. I added a poll to make it more fun.

Rock Band 2 is obvious. I'm also interested in any games that might have good multiplayer/co-op elements. Kelly will probably really like Viva Pinata 2. I played the first one heavily for about a month, but VP2 has some tough competition with RB2.

Unfortunately, I don't expect any of the games listed to get anything more than passing interest. Maybe I'll actually rent some games to try them out...nah. I expect Rock Band (2) and Halo to continue in heavy rotation.

I'm sorry, but I had never even heard of half of those games.

That's why I posted videos for you!

I will probably get Rock Band 2 for my birthday and I will pick up Batman Legos for Tyler and I.

Definietly in for RB2, VP2 and Lego Batman.

A couple of others I have slight interest in, but they will be Game Savers Club titles. :)

That photobucket game looks stellar! I like
the little death ray meter, too! :sarcasm:

I'll have to try those demos, except the ultra-violent super-realistic WWII shooter.

Nice to see some love for Samba de Amigo. I had that for the Dreamcast in college, and it was such an awesome party game. The Wii seems like a perfect fit for it, and it will even have DLC.

I'm curious about Pure since I love any driving game which contains "sick jumps" and/or "massive air" (i.e., Excitebike 64, Excite Trucks).

If you guys are interested in some titles as Gamesaver Club titles, please post such. I am going to create threads for games that have sufficient interest so we can try to work together to find good deals on such titles.

I really only care about Rock Band 2, and Viva Pinata 2 if I can afford to buy it when it comes out.

As much as I like VP, I'm surprised so many people have expressed interest, I hope there is a solid multiplayer experience.

i don't really care about the multiplayer. i liked the first enough. Plus the Live Vision camera is actually going to do something in this game. (not a huge something)

Nicely done Duster, the videos are very useful for people who have not heard of some of the games, or need a refresher.

Just for the ones in your guide:

Must Owns

Rock Band 2

Rentals and/or buys if cheap enough

Mercenaries 2
Viva Pinata 2
Lego Batman

Rentals or total pass

Pure
Baja: EOC (probably a pass, looks pretty bad)
Samba de Amigo (no Wii here)
Brothers in Arms: HH (meh)
Legendary (looks more like Turok than Bioshock, or even Doomish... and Legendary? really... -rolleyes- )
Photobucket game

With Gamefly i am pretty much willing to give anything a try (the fact i am currently playing Area 51 indicates this).

Racing games, as most of you know, are not my thing so i can't imagine i will be checking out those offroad games.

Games i will buy:
Rock Band 2

Games i might buy:
Viva Piņata 2

Games i will rent:
Pretty much the rest of them. I do want to play Batman but Indy was dull as shit and that kind of put a chill on my excitement for Batman.

I will guiltily admit to being a little excited for Legendary if only because i am a total slut for anything with an interesting basis in mythology. I have been keeping up on that Jason and the Argonauts game for heavens sake.

sidenote: i really liked this front page post Duster. The addition of the trailers was great!

Also, Samba de Amigo on the Dreamcast was brilliant. It was the first rhythm/party style game i had ever played where everyone was willing to step up and look a little foolish. Great, great times. If the Wii version captures any of that magic then it should be a blast.

Rock Band has kind of secured that same feel imo though, which may make Samba seem a little "dated."

Rock Band 2
Probably GH4 if the track list is good enough
Maybe Lego Batman if it looks good enough. Might wait until it comes down in price, though.

I totally forgot about GH4.

Since the instruments will work in both games i will probably buy the disc alone of GH to have more to sing.

Yeah, me too.. GH4 is a must buy a little later down the road. There are some great songs on it that I look forward to playing.

Rockband 2 is probably the only one that is a must buy for me. I'll wait-and-see on the others.

After playing the Force Unleashed demo, it's at least worth a rental, if not a cheap purchase. It was pretty fun.
