APB: The Game Worth Buying a PC For?

Since this is basically a Halo clan, we don’t get much PC love ’round these parts.  I think that might change soon, and it’s all because of a single game: All Points Bulletin.  What is APB?  It’s the MMO that Realtime Worlds decided to make instead of Crackdown 2.

Joystiq has a terrific write-up about the game based on the developer’s panel at GDC, and it’s a great read.  Basically, you pick your side: cop or criminal, and go to town.  The game basically plays like Crackdown, only without AI enemies - you are always going up against other players.  You need a great driver for the squad or getaway car, and you need great FPS players to shoot while in pursuit.  The biggest OMG feature?  You can stream your last.fm radio station to your car in game.  Yes, that is an OMG feature.

Anyway, it’s probably the most exciting sounding PC game since Quake for this lowly gamer.  Check out the joystiq write-up.
